Key purpose of the Job

As Executive – Health & Safety, you will be reporting to the Manager – Occupational Health & Safety. You will ensure that the plant achieves the required Health & Safety standards as per the local laws, customer and certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Achieve the Health & Safety standards in line with the Factories Ordinance, Customer Compliance standards & OSHA/ISO standards that will ensure the safety of the people and the plant
2. Develop a plan of action that aligns with the strategy outlined by the Group Safety & Health Senior Manager and ensure that the agreed actions are carried out by the plant with optimum use of available resources and within the budget for plant Health & Safety activities, including trainings
3. Ensure that work places conduct regular Health & Safety Inspections/Audit against the well-defined check list and submit the findings for Management meetings and recommendations, and ensure that improvements are implemented based on the Identified High Risk factors with recommended solutions to the Management for their information and perusal
4. Ensure that all employees are competent to handle the areas they are responsible for and work with the relevant stakeholders to build a safety culture by designing and implementing safety campaigns, competitions and activities
5. Share safety news bulletins to improve the employees participation in Occupational Safety & Health management elines.

Education

• A recognized Degree/Diploma in Engineering / Science, Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health/NIOSH or NEBOSH qualifications (Certification).
