Job Description:

The Finance Executive will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department by ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires a meticulous individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for finance in the fintech industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Monitor cash flow, prepare cash forecasts, and identify opportunities to optimize working capital.
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and compliance documentation, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular reviews of financial processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and control.
  • Support external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes relevant to the fintech sector.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CIMA or similar certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience 2 years in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the fintech industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with QuickBooks or similar platforms preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing to team goals.
