About this opportunity

We are seeking a Research Assistant or Research Associate to join the laboratory of Assistant Professor Kaiwen Chen at the National University of Singapore (NUS). A major focus of our lab is to understand the fundamental biology of cell death and innate immune signalling during microbial infection. This is a 3-year funded project. The successful candidate will receive high quality training and will have the possibility to convert into PhD studies after 12 months.

Terms of appointment

This is a full-time 3-year funded project with the possibility to convert into PhD studies after 12 months. Salary package is dependent on experience and qualification.

Qualifications

  • BSC or Master’s Degree with Hons in Life Science or related discipline
  • At least 6 months of laboratory experience
  • Highly motivated and ability to work independently after training
  • Prior experience with myeloid cell biology and/or infection assays will be a plus
  • Willing to work with animals and bacterial infection models
