Research Fellow (Nanochemistry)

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) is looking for Research Fellow to take part in development of various nanoparticle synthesis approaches using wet chemistry techniques to achieve well-defined sizes and shapes and homogeneity.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop a customized setup for our nanoparticle synthesis
- To establish protocols to measure the extinction profiles of the various shape-controlled metallic nanoparticles during synthesis
- To develop a scientific approach for accurate and reproducible correlation between nanoparticle morphology and its optical property
- To uncover new insights on nanoparticle formation
Job Requirements:
- A PhD in Nanochemistry
- Strong background in Nanochemistry
- Past experience in a plasmonics lab with strong background in metallic nanoparticle synthesis
- Knowledge on synthesis of nanoparticles their shape-dependent properties and the synthesis mechanisms
- Good lab skills, high competency in data analysis is also favored.
