Software Engineer – Application Support

Roles & Reponsibilities

• Solve complex problems using the knowledge on Software Development Techniques such as Object-Oriented Architecture and Design, Design Patterns, Enterprise Integration Patterns
• Deploy and Maintain integration solutions using WSO2 platform adhering to architecture and design goals including performance, security, quality of code, etc
• Analyzing logs and identifying potential issues in the integrations
• Applying system patches, updates and configuration changes in the platform
• Perform regular system performance tuning based on the requirements
• Dealing with incoming incidents, Queries, and Service Requests in a professional, courteous manner
• Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
• Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
• Conduct regular checks on applications to ensure the performance is according to the SLAs.

Required Competencies experience and Qualifications

• A BSc degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or An equivalent from a recognized university
• Minimum 2 years of industry experience in hands-on software development
• At least 1 year of strong development experience in Java/JEE language
• Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, Service Oriented Architecture, Enterprise Integration Patterns, Web Services, and Cloud-based technologies
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to solve complex technical problems
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication
• Strong knowledge in Linux or Open source software
